Would you believe I actually toned down the cuteness from the initial drawing?

I spent this morning doing two things: reading everything Kate Beaton has ever written (go! do it now!) and fighting with every scanner in my house. It may actually have taken me longer to get this piece up here than to make it. If that isn't a good enough reason to buy a scanner and move (farther) east I don't know what is.
